Banana, waffle & pretty colours on the placemat – what a great way to start the day!!
) The waffle holes and squares on the placemat caught my attention, so I had to pull out the camera & then play. My friend will say whoaaaaaaa Carol, too much butter there, oops!
Although I am still plugging away at the series in progress, I find myself breaking every so often and out comes a “Bozzetto”, well maybe sometimes quite a few of them, hahaha Lots of textures & symmetry this time around – I’ve uploaded 11 little bozzetto’s today to the album if you would like to take a peek: [LINK TO BOZZETTO ALBUM]

“The Personalised Surface within Fine Art Digital Printmaking. This project, supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) aims to explore the role of surface within fine art digital print from a variety of perspectives including those of practitioners, critics, publishers and curators. It will investigate how it is possible to articulate the unique surface qualities of digital print and explore ways, through engagement with the technology, of creating personalised surfaces, which reflect the artist’s needs rather than accepting industry norms.”

Title: Princess Moonflower – A.J. Hunter
image from Artist AJ Hunter’s website – Oblivion Graphics
New Zealand artists AJ Hunter and Carol Banner’s collaborative new exhibition titled: Tech Nouveau is totally awe inspiring! Congratulations!! Each work is a true Masterpiece, in my eyes!
“Hunter said the exhibition blends the styles of both Mucha and Parrish and adds mathematically created fractal art and samples from Carol’s beautiful and elegant original pastel artwork to create a new hi-tech digital version of Art Nouveau for the 21st century”. snippet from article by Nathan Crombie/ Wairarapa Times-Age
