I came upon Didier’s  incredible images above in a somewhat odd way. I thought to myself, hum…what if I did a Google Image search with the French translation of the term: Digital Art. And sure enough up popped some fantastic works that incorporated the title or tags “Art Numerique”.  Perhaps you may want to try it sometime if you are seeking inspiration or specific research documents that may originate in a different language.

Bob Dylan on Canvas

13 Feb 2010 – 10 Apr 2010- Halcyon Gallery, 24 Bruton Street, London, England

“Halcyon Gallery presents an exclusive exhibition of Bob Dylan’s first paintings on canvas, based on drawings and sketches made while on the road during the period of 1989 – 1992. These paintings are the grand finale of The Drawn Blank Series and testament to his artistic progression: from drawings to works on paper and now finally to canvas. This exhibition provides a unique opportunity to see the first original masterpieces of a creative legend.” -snippets from their website

“Just as Dylan’s songs are constantly reinvigorated and rediscovered through his live performances, so these paintings revisit images and scenes which were captured in all their immediacy by the artist. “

Spaghetti Bench

Pablo Reinoso:  French-Argentine artist and designer, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1955. Lives and works in Paris since 1979.

“The Spaghetti Bench takes it’s inspiration from the universal park bench “everyone has sat on a bench like this, some have been kissed on one, others have waited for their kid on one, they are common to everybody”.  The benches are not only conceptual works but also feats of handcrafted dexterity. Each wooden slat is hand-carved to create the sinuous curve, the human intervention of the manufacture once again triumphs over the straight lines of the traditional park bench. “
