I have struggled with some of my artist friends to be seen as a “real” artist because most of my work is done digitally. It is good to see digital galleries and guilds showing art of this type.
I’ve found that there is still a taboo around digital art. Some behave as if I didn’t put as much heart and soul into my work as they did with a paint brush on canvas. It’s the contrary though, I put more in mine because when it’s done I know there will be many who tell me authentic art is created by hand and not computer. If I know I’m going to meet objections but create anyway it mean I create for the love of it not the acceptance of it.
Anyway, it is good to know there are galleries and such out there showing digital works.
Thank you for such a wonderful display of art on your site as well as links and info.

Hi Austin, Thanks for your comment, and know that you are not alone in your art quest! Please don’t give up on your passion just because of what others say. I totally agree with you that art comes from the heart, the most important reason to create it in the first place. It’s very interesting timing that you bring up this subject as I am preparing a post about the exact same thoughts, watch for it sometime next week. In the meanwhile, if I am able to find links and resources that may help artists who create digitally or infuse digital components into their works, well this is just as good a place as any to list them. Heck at least I will be able to find them in one spot here as sometimes memory tends to evaporate as we get a bit older, haha!!
Cheers Austin of Sundrip, keep creative :o)
