Weekly FFF - Title: Enter the Exit

Enter the Exit ©2008 Carol Cooper

This weeks FFF (Fresh Flash Friday) was inspired by revolving doors.  I would imagine that at least ONCE in your lifetime you have gone through a revolving door?  Who invented it, and why?  Could a revolving door be considered an environmental filter of sorts? Can people in wheelchairs go through one? How about if you suffer from claustrophobia? Are revolving doors used solely as an architectural adornment? OR do they serve a greater purpose? Tons of questions! But honestly, if you face the option of going through a revolving door or a normal door, which do you choose? . . . and why? I am always curious :o)

Revolving doors are favoured because they can be used as an airlock to minimize a building’s heating and air conditioning losses.

Something to thinkabout?

Weekly FFF’s will be filed in the New Works Gallery under the BOZZETTO album for future reference.

Enter the Exit is a metaphor for our experience as the mind/body here on earth. Our energy is like the waves on the beach as we arrive and go back out again. So it is with entering the exit in a revolving door or another portal. At some point, one realizes that what we bring to ‘entering’ is what we have before entering and exiting is an organic and natural portion of beginning a new entering. Beautiful rendering of your ‘Enter the Exit’ FFF as it brought a welcomed observance of this wonderful journey.
